MONDAY, DECEMBER 16th · 7PM (Doors at 6:30PM)
Join us as we descend into the underworld of the Popol Vuh through an immersive dining experience. Executive Chef Jose Alarcon and his team has paired courses and drinks with excerpts selected by translator Michael Bazzett. There will be readings from the stunning Popol Vuh, soundscapes from Curandero, and immersive art from Electric Machete Studios.
A conversation of food & story. A dialogue of disciplines.
We have 30 tickets available on a sliding scale starting at $45 (10 at each level), and 26 tickets available at $150. The actual cost of the event is $125. These tickets are offered at a sliding scale and are intended specifically for those who would otherwise not be able to attend.
What should I pay?
$125 is the actual cost of the event. You have expendable income, are fiscally comfortable, but feel like paying full price ($150) would be a hardship. Any dollar over $125 goes into making more accessible tickets possible for other folks.
$90 is for those who are able to meet their basic needs but have little-to-no expendable income. Paying for this event may qualify as a sacrifice but it would not create hardship.
$45 is for those who struggle to meet basic needs and paying for this event would still be a significant hardship.
This is a communal eating experience and parties may be seated together. If you have special seating requirements (i.e., would not like to be seated at the bar), please let us know in the checkout notes. Also, if there is another person/group that you’d like to be seated with, please let us know in those same notes..
